"Swim lessons with Miss Deane have been a blessing in many ways. My nine year old son went from having no swimming skills to being able to swim with grace and style in multiple strokes. He went from being tentative (fearful) of swimming to confident and enthusiatic about swimming. The whole body workout while swimming has also given him a wonderful outlet for all the energy he has. "In two months of lessons with Miss Deane my son has made up for years of fruitless summer-time swim lessons. My 9 year old son has had numerous summer lessons through the Parks and Rec Dept. I know each time has been helpful, (he
has had some water fears) but he still had not learned how to swim. Imagine the shock I felt seeing him actually
swimming (an easy free-style!) during just his third lesson with Miss Deane. Miss Deane teaches in a no-nonsense, yet fun, sort of way. She uses very amusing and easy-to-understand instructions for the kids to grasp. Obviously, it was just what my son needed as his swimming skills have exploded. His weekly lesson experience fluctuates between "Aha!" moments and gaining proficiency. I know now that it wasn't him that was the problem with his
