More comments from parents that have their children in our Superior Swim Lessons:

"I sent my son to swimming lessons off and on since he was a year old. I went to another organization in our valley and while they were professional I found my son made minimal progress over the three years. I finally decided it was time to try something different and I had heard about this amazing instructor form Superior Athletic Club.
On my son's first day I was stunned. My first impression was wow, this lady takes learning to swim very seriously. From the moment he started my son knew getting into the water is something not to be taken lightly. She insisted he would not be allowed to enter a pool without asking for permission first. As a mother with family members who have pools I thought to myself what a great idea. I have been fortunate since to date my son has never jumped in a pool; however, I have family member that has had their children run and jump in a pool and they were unable to swim. From there the lesson just got better. My son was extremely afraid of being in the water and was challenged by her to push himself she said "It is okay to be afraid but not okay to not try". He was afraid and the mother in me just wanted to pull him out of the pool and say we can't do this. In one 30 minute lesson I watched my son do things he had never done before. We came back and for the next 3 or 4 lessons each day my sons was afraid but I just felt this was important. Every time he went he made huge progress. Literally in a little over a month my son went from being afraid to getting in the pool on his own to swimming. I was so impressed that I continued his lessons over the summer. By the end of the summer he was doing laps in an Olympic sized pool with my husband. People would say "wow how old is he?, he swims so well". My son is four but he the reason he swins so well is because he went to Miss Deane. I have referred Miss Deane to my friends and they love her. My son still has her once a week for swim lessons since she is so good at teaching swimming.
As a mother, knowing my son can swim well is such a relief. My advice to anyone wanting to teach their child to swim is if you truly want them to learn quickly and care about the quality of the instruction then Miss Deane is the best person for you. She truly is an amazing instructor and I will be in her debt for what she has taught my son.

"We have been participating in swim lessons with Miss Deane for under three months and the change we have seen in our daughter has been absolutely amazing. My daughter is 2 1/2 years old and has never had a swim lessons before. Our first class she cried and was very nervous and in only a matter of a few lessons Miss Deane had bonded with Lucy and not only made her comfortable but excited to be in the water. That alone was worth putting her into class. In just a few short months she can float on her back, swim unaided for a stretch of time, jump off of the side of the pool and swim back to the wall by herself. I am thrilled and amazed at the progress. Miss Deane leads with firm confidence and removes fear and instills excitement and confidence. Her no nonsense approach is exactly what my daughter needed to excel. While Miss Deane runs a tight ship she is fun and loving toward my daughter. My daughter asks daily when she can go to Miss Deane's class and even wakes up in the middle of the night sometimes asking for swim class! We could not be happier with Miss Deane and the progress our daughter has made and is making!

  1. I really want to teach my daughter how to swim, but I just don;t have the time to teach her myself. I think it would be great if she got some swim lessons from a professional. Do you think that is an alright way to teach your child how to swim? http://www.jerseywahoos.org

  2. I think swim lessons are a good idea for all kids of the right age. Even if you don't live near the water, your kids could be around swimming pools and water parks. It is therefore very important they know how to handle themselves in the water.
